A squash legend in his native Italy, Simone dominated the sport there for nearly a decade, winning eight national championships and representing his country at seventeen World and European Championships. He holds the top Italian coaching certification and served as the head coach of the Italian Junior National Team from 2007-2011. He has also been the head coach at clubs in Turin, Florence and Prague.
Simone is known for his mental toughness and tactical prowess, and is particularly effective at imparting upon his students the mindset that made him a champion.
Chayse began playing squash at the age of 14 in his native Trinidad and eventually earned a place on the junior national team. His success has only grown in the senior ranks, where he became National Champion in 2019. He has represented Trinidad in eight editions of the annual Caribbean Squash Championships. Now based in New York, he holds titles in the New York Open, the Big Apple Open and The Grand Open.
Chayse's passion for squash is highly infectious and he enjoys developing a strong technical foundation in his students to help them reach their peak potential.
Freddy's life was changed as a 6th grader in the Bronx when he tried out for the CitySquash team. A gifted athlete, Freddy was soon among the top squash players of his age in the country. At age 13 he won his first Urban Individual Championship, a title he never relinquished for his remaining 5 years of eligibility. His success brought him first to the Canterbury School in New Milford, CT, where he led the lineup and captained the team for 2 seasons, then to the perennial top ten squash team at Franklin and Marshall College where he was mentored by former World Number 1 John White and Welsh National Champion Gavin Jones. Freddy has coached at CitySquash in the Bronx and at Sportsplex in Stamford, CT and now serves as Program Manager for US Squash, the sport's national governing body.
Matt first burst onto the competitive squash scene after converting from tennis at the Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT, twice anchoring his team to 2nd place finishes at the US High School Nationals. A meteoric rise saw Matt finish his junior career as the 7th best player in the country and earn a spot on the dynastic Trinity College team. There he helped win 2 National Intercollegiate Team Championships, was named Most Improved Player his sophomore year and served as captain his senior year. His junior year saw him accumulate the most wins in a single season in school history (25). Matt has coached squash and tennis at the Apawamis Club in Rye, NY; the Round Hill Club in Greenwich, CT; and the Westmoor Club in Nantucket, MA.
Lucia came to New York to coach squash from her native Italy, where she was a member of the Women's National Team. She is currently the Program Director at St Luke's Squash Club in New Canaan, CT and the Girls' Varsity Coach at St. Luke's School.
Brian learned squash in Buffalo, NY and played for Cornell University. He achieved a world ranking of 155 and has been coaching professionally since 1998, most recently as the Director of Squash at St Luke's School in New Canaan, CT. Brian founded SquashRx in 2013 with the goal of growing access to squash and to world class coaching in NYC .
